Dinner and Music at Rettich Preserve

A benefit for the Madison Land Conservation Trust

A Summer Barbeque by Field House Farm

Bring a blanket and lawn chairs and join us to raise money to support the Rettich Preserve. BYOB

The Madison Land Conservation Trust’s barbecue and concert to benefit the Rettich Preserve is happening! The date: Sunday afternoon, July 29. 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This year’s efforts go to preserve the barn on the property. The first effort will be to stabilize it, and then move on to making it a working building. It’s the centerpiece of the Rettich Preserve as seen from the road, and is an important and historic structure which adds significantly to the feel of the entire area.

Some of the highlights include Field House Farm’s typically phenomenal food, this time cooked by Chef David Borselle of Park And Oak restaurant in West Hartford. David’s restaurant just won the “Best Of” award for best Contemporary American cuisine.

The music will be provided by Fire In The Kitchen Concerts, and this year will be featuring The Page Turners, festival favorites and Freshgrass Award winners.

There are plenty of other events, with displays by the Madison Art Society, a talk on the birds of Rettich with world-renown avian artist Mike DiGiorgio, talks on stone wall building and restoration, beekeeping and more. There’s also a free foraging hike at 10:00 AM on edible plants!

Don’t miss out! Tickets are $75 for guests aged 13 and up, $25 for children age 12 and under.

Make a reservation below.

Parking will be available for free on site. Parking opens at 4:00. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket as no seating will be provided. Come early for a tour of the property and to secure your seat. The concert and dinner will start at 5:30.
